In regions such as Catalonia, the Valencian Community, or the Balearic Islands, knowledge of the co-official language is valued. In tourist areas, basic English is required. * **Food Handler’s Certificate:** Mandatory if the position involves direct contact with fresh food. Typical Working Conditions * **Working hours type:** Part-time contracts (**20 or 30 hours per week**) are very common for students, or full-time contracts (**40 hours per week**). * **Schedules:** Rotating shifts—morning (e.g., 07:00–15:00\) or afternoon (e.g., 15:00–22:00/23:00\).
