We primarily operate in three major areas: **water**, offering solutions for both urban and industrial management; **waste**, transforming it into new resources; and **energy**, improving efficiency and reducing consumption and emissions in buildings, industries, and cities. **Job Description** Position of Developer/Programmer responsible for: * Evolution and maintenance of the VIRED Web application (GIS developed by SOCADE Water Engineering Solutions) * Functional and graphical enhancement of the existing application * Optimization of communication with the VIRED client application via existing or newly evolved APIs * Resolution of operational incidents * Design and implementation of new functionalities upon user request Responsibilities: * User requirement capture: Collection and documentation of user needs * Functional requirement specification: Detailed specification of functionalities to be developed * User testing: Design and execution of test cases to validate functionalities * Final user manuals: Preparation of clear documentation for end users **Requirements** Education: At least one of the following formal qualifications—or an equivalent qualification—is required: * Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Web Application Development (DAW) * Higher Vocational Training Cycle in Computer Applications Development (DAI) * University Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent * Intensive web/software development bootcamp (minimum duration of 6 months) Others: Programming Languages: * JavaScript (intermediate level) * PHP (intermediate level) * C\# (basic-to-intermediate level) Databases: * MySQL (solid knowledge) * PostgreSQL (solid knowledge) * SQL and relational database design APIs and Integration * JSON (format and manipulation) * REST APIs (consumption and integration) * Web services and system integration Cartography and Graphics * OpenLayers (desirable — internal training available) * Basic concepts of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Tools and Methodologies * Version control (Git/GitHub/GitLab) * Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) Competencies: ✅ Proactive individual eager to learn ✅ Ability to work across multiple environments (web and client) ✅ Technical flexibility and adaptability ✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills ✅ Problem-solving orientation ✅ Ability to produce clear and precise technical documentation **Additional Information** **What can we offer you?** * Comprehensive internal training * Mentoring by a Senior Developer * Participation in Real Projects from Day One * Permanent position * Being part of a leading organization in the environmental sector At **Veolia**, we know that professionals are the fundamental pillar of our corporate identity and achievements.
