Description
At Veritas, we are seeking a **Business Controller** who will become a strategic partner to the General Management, providing economic insight, analytical capability, and business judgment to support the company’s growth and evolution. This is a key position with a cross-functional view of the entire business.
Your objective will be to produce intuitive reporting, support executive decision-making, anticipate future scenarios, and ensure achievement of the business’s financial objectives.
You will report directly to the General Management and work closely with the Finance Director, Accounting, and heads of various departments and business units in a dynamic, demanding, and growth-oriented environment.
**Your main responsibilities**:
* Analyze key business indicators, identifying risks, opportunities, and deviations from targets.
* Develop and enhance management reporting for the General Management and Executive Committee.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking processes.
* Analyze margins, profitability, costs, and improvement levers across different departments and business units.
* Participate in the monthly closing process and consolidation of financial and economic information.
* Drive the evolution of analytical accounting and management control models.
* Collaborate with department heads to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
* Develop scenarios, simulations, and feasibility analyses to support strategic decisions and investments.
* Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and resource optimization.
* Participate in transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, systems, and analytical tools.
**We are looking for someone who has...**
* A degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, or a related field.
* +5 years of experience in controlling, auditing, corporate finance, or equivalent roles.
* Experience in complex/multi-business environments (retail experience is highly valued).
* Experience building financial models, budgets, and profitability analyses.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis and reporting tools (Qlik, Power BI, or similar).
* Experience with SAP (HANA 4\).
* Comfort interacting with General Management and leading data-based discussions.
* Fluency in both Catalan and Spanish.
