At DXC Spain, we are looking for a Java Functional Analyst to join our development team and participate in an important public-sector project. Requirements * Minimum 5 years’ experience as an application programmer * Specialization in Java and the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC) * Experience integrating via REST and SOAP APIs, and using containers with Docker or equivalent technologies * Proficiency in version control tools such as Git and handling PostgreSQL databases * Knowledge and experience with Camunda for BPMN process modeling and management, and with Corticon for business rule management—desirable * Strong ability to understand technical and functional designs * Strong ability to comprehend the proposed solution—not only at the application’s functional level, but also the solution’s development strategy at the technical and systems level * Responsibility for meeting milestones and deliverables defined by the responsible team (architects, functional analysts, PMs, etc.) * Familiarity with documentation management tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc. * Ability to adapt to different teams and work dynamics * Client communication skills * Autonomy and accountability to deliver well-integrated solutions within the system’s overall architecture * Proactivity in identifying technical improvements or supporting other team members * Constructive critical thinking: ability to identify inconsistencies or risks in design and propose improvements without imposing them * Mentoring capability: support junior profiles in their training and resolution of questions, promoting good design practices and clean coding * Reporting capability: punctuality, timeliness, assertiveness, clarity, conciseness * Must be based in Catalonia; spoken and written Catalan proficiency is required, as all documentation is in Catalan.
