Job Summary: We are seeking a Methods and Continuous Improvement Engineer to analyze, optimize, and implement improvements in industrial processes and ensure compliance with KPIs. Due to increased activity, we are seeking a **Methods and Continuous Improvement Engineer**, based in **Parets del Vallès, Barcelona**. As part of the **Process Engineering Team**, you will be responsible for: * Analyzing, optimizing, developing and implementing performance improvements in Smart Lines and SMD processes, ensuring compliance with defined industrial KPIs. * Conducting methods, time and efficiency studies to identify losses, bottlenecks and opportunities for process, equipment and work organization optimization. * Providing ongoing technical support to Production and Maintenance, including execution of technical, mechanical or process adjustments to machines, equipment and tools, when required and requested through the defined support chain. * Working closely with Operators, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to develop, implement and validate continuous improvement actions, poka-yokes and technical solutions to ensure process stability. * Developing and implementing technical improvements and process modifications, ensuring positive impact on equipment availability, reliability and efficiency. * Analyzing production, quality and equipment performance data to identify deviations and define, execute and track corrective and preventive actions. * Supporting the Quality team in investigating product or process quality issues, actively participating in root cause analysis (5 Whys, Ishikawa, Pareto, etc.) and implementing containment and corrective actions. * Providing technical support for process standardization, definition and implementation of best operational practices, and documentation of production methods. * Accompanying, executing and verifying correct implementation of improvements, ensuring sustainability of results in production. * Actively participating in Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing downtime, eliminating waste and optimizing resource utilization. * Collaborating with NPI teams, providing technical support during the introduction of new products, processes, equipment or industrial changes, ensuring robust, efficient and stable implementation from the initial phase. **Experience, Knowledge and Skills** * University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics, Automation or similar). * Experience in methods engineering, continuous improvement or process engineering within industrial environments. * Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially automated or highly complex lines. * Experience working with industrial KPIs such as OPE, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, Yield and Availability. * Analytical capability to work with production and equipment performance data. * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools. * Ability to execute improvements in a structured, results-oriented manner. * Strong technical communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. * Analytical, methodical, organized profile with a focus on operational efficiency. **Desirable:** * Specific experience in Customization, Smart Lines or automated processes. * Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (PDCA, Kaizen, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, VSM). * Experience collaborating with Maintenance teams and analyzing equipment reliability. * Basic knowledge of data capture systems, MES or industrial dashboards. * Experience managing or participating in OEE/OPE improvement plans. * Ability to work in industrial environments with high demands for efficiency and availability. * Experience participating in operational cost optimization projects. **What We Offer:** * + Flexible compensation (meal vouchers and social benefits such as childcare, training, etc.) * Life insurance * Partially subsidized health insurance * Various work-life balance services * Savings club * Opportunity to join a global leader in cybersecurity and digital identity. * Dynamic industrial environment with a strong culture of safety and sustainability. * Professional development opportunities within Thales.
