A Senior Technician for Internal Control is required at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
Job Mission
The mission of this position is to provide technical support, advisory services, proposals, reports, and studies, as well as to implement and evaluate technical processes within the scope of internal control, in accordance with the directives of the unit head and with the aim of ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations IN THE AREAS OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT.
• Verify that economic, financial, and administrative contracting operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with current legislation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the areas of economics and management, while respecting the ethical principles and standards established by the University.
• Support the identification and analysis of potential risks that may affect the achievement of institutional objectives.
• Prepare reports on the status of internal controls, make proposals, and suggest improvements where necessary.
• Perform other duties assigned within the scope of their technical competencies.
* Experience: 1 year. Minimum one-year experience in the described functions and sector, or equivalent.

* Competencies / Knowledge:
• University degree preferably related to the economic field.
• Legal framework governing the University (European, national, regional, and University-specific regulations).
• Project-based and process-based management knowledge, and familiarity with the University’s management model.
• Processes with which the position interacts and related regulations.
• Knowledge of auditing, economic management, and public control mechanisms.
• English language proficiency corresponding to level B2.2 (CEFR) or higher.
• Information and Communication Technologies: Advanced skills in numerical data processing; user-level competence in digital navigation and communication; handling of written information and data; content presentation and management; electronic administration platform and economic management applications.

Location: UPF Rectorate (Mercè Building)
Workload: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Working hours: Presence from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., plus one afternoon per week from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Monday to Thursday), and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Friday), with flexibility between 7:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. and between 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Annual gross remuneration: €42,945.08
Start date: September/October 2026
Expected duration: 4 months (renewable)
Work modality: On-site (remote work possible after the first year of employment)
