Management Application Programmer (Velneo / RPG)

Sispyme is an Asturian management software company founded in 1983. We develop and implement custom ERP systems and proprietary vertical products (manufacturing and machining, transportation, engineering and construction) on Velneo V7, and maintain and modernize IBM i (AS/400, iSeries) systems programmed in RPG. We have been an IBM Business Partner since day one and are a certified Velneo company. This position is permanently open: there is no closing date. We want to meet candidates matching this profile, and when there is a fit, they join us. Your responsibilities: \- Develop and maintain management applications for our clients: process analysis, development, implementation, and post-implementation support. \- Work on Velneo V7, IBM i (RPG), or both, depending on your profile. \- Integrate the ERP system with the client’s existing systems. \- Support go-live activities: user training and fine-tuning. What we’re looking for: \- Experience with Velneo (any version) or RPG on AS/400, iSeries, or IBM i. \- If you lack both: experience developing management applications and relational databases, plus willingness to learn — we provide training. \- Ability to communicate effectively with clients: programmers here attend meetings directly. \- Vocational training or degree in computer science, or equivalent professional experience.
