At ALOVIA, we are looking for a **PL/I Programmer Analyst**. This position is for one of our IT services sector clients. **What will you do with us?** * Design, develop, and maintain applications in **Mainframe** environments. * Primarily program in **PL/I**, with support in **COBOL** when required. * Analyze technical and functional requirements, proposing efficient and scalable solutions. * Resolve incidents and enhance business-critical applications. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (technical and functional) to ensure product quality. * Identify improvements and new opportunities for technological optimization. **What we’re looking for** * Solid experience developing on **Host/Mainframe**, with proficiency in **PL/I** and knowledge of **COBOL**. * Sufficient **technical English** level to read documentation, participate in meetings, and understand functional specifications. * A **proactive**, solution-oriented profile with autonomy to tackle new technological challenges. **Especially valued** * Prior experience in the **banking sector**. * Experience working in **agile** teams (Scrum, Kanban). * Passion for coding and technical detail: we seek people who remain excited about programming.
