**RESPONSIBILITIES** **FOR HOTEL MARBELLA CLUB** * The employee must be aware that the hotel has made a significant investment in luxury furniture and upholstery (floors, carpets, cushions, sofas, etc.) and that these items require specialized treatment and must be cleaned with appropriate chemical products, equipment, and techniques to ensure durability. * The employee must be aware that most of our guests usually send luxurious, very expensive, high-end garments that need to be handled with great care and with the best suitable chemical products, equipment, and techniques to guarantee excellent service. **DEPARTMENTAL RESPONSIBILITIES** * The lingerie assistant supervisor is responsible for supporting the supervisor in organizing, maintaining, distributing, and controlling the inventory of linens and textiles within a facility such as a hotel, hospital, or service center. They also assist in ensuring that cleanliness, order, and garment care standards are maintained, guaranteeing efficient operations. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** ***Operational*** **Daily** * Perform work with common sense, meaning responsibly and committed to the company. * Follow all established LHW and Forbes standard procedures. * Ensure separation, counting, and recording of room laundry quantities (bed linens and towels) and table linens, conducting count controls with maximum concentration and accuracy. Never risk guessing numbers if the count is lost. * If tracking is done through a traceability system, ensure proper handling and verify correct incoming and outgoing laundry counts. * Record in the stewarding system all linens issued to other areas taken from storage. * Carefully read garment care labels and organize the correct washing, drying, and ironing procedures according to instructions. Never ignore guidelines or risk using/experimenting with alternative cleaning methods. If an item lacks a label, consult the lingerie supervisor for advice; if unavailable, send the garment to the external dry-cleaning service for specialized treatment. Take photos of any guest's soiled clothing arriving damaged or with stains appearing unsolvable, and send them along with the guest's name and room number to the Housekeeper. * Conduct physical counts and maintain records of linen and textile inventories. * Supervise garment inflow and outflow, ensuring established controls are maintained. * Report garment damages or losses to the lingerie supervisor and ensure team compliance. * Prepare and deliver lingerie orders to various departments. * Collect used linens from areas and sort them for washing. * Inspect garments to identify stains, damage, or wear before washing or delivery. * Ensure garments are in optimal condition before returning them to inventory. * Review internal rules before washing any curtains, bed skirts, cushion covers, etc., in the hotel’s laundry facility. Always wash non-dry-clean-only items on a cold wash cycle and air-dry them (never use the dryer). * Submit final inventory reports in Excel format, save a copy on the lingerie department computer (hard drive), and email copies to the Housekeeper, Floor Coordinator, and Assistant Housekeepers. * Strictly follow the internal protocol for registering soiled guest laundry. Never accept a bag of soiled laundry from a porter without first verifying the room number, guest name, and required service type (regular/express). * Strictly follow the internal protocol created for preparing and delivering clean guest laundry. At the end of the day, review the laundry dispatch list and confirm with porters that deliveries were correctly completed to respective rooms. * In the absence of the Lingerie Supervisor, directly follow up with the laundry and external dry-cleaning service regarding delays in receiving room or guest laundry, demanding explanations for delays and solutions for any resulting issues. In such cases, immediately inform the person currently in charge of the department to take appropriate action. * Assist the Lingerie Supervisor in planning daily tasks. * Report any anomalies in the laundry process or garment handling. * Ensure the lingerie area and its storerooms remain clean and organized. * Always pay special attention to common areas from the guest's perspective, removing any trash, chewing gum stuck on floors, cobwebs, or bird droppings regardless of whether it falls within one's assigned work zone. * Meet deadlines and delivery times for checklist tasks and any other assignments requested by the Lingerie Supervisor and/or Housekeeper. * Besides being able to complete assigned tasks listed in the daily lingerie workload and additional requests from the Supervisor, take initiative to thoroughly clean the lingerie area during working hours when time permits. * Maintain continuous order and cleanliness in the work area (equipment, shelves/drawers), leaving the workstation in good condition for the next shift. * Immediately report urgent maintenance needs regarding washing machines, dryers, and irons to the Lingerie Supervisor or inform the Floor Coordinator and/or Housekeeper if the supervisor is absent. * Inform the Lingerie Supervisor to place orders for necessary supplies/materials before stock reaches critical levels. * Strictly comply with SOP regulations regarding discarded clothing, never using room linens under any circumstances for floor cleaning or any unauthorized purpose. Never make rags by tearing usable room linens; if rag shortages occur, notify the Lingerie Supervisor or Housekeeper to find a solution. * Work conscientiously with the hotel's internal occupational risk regulations, especially concerning hazardous chemicals, ensuring they are not left accessible to guests or other staff to prevent unnecessary risks and ensure personal safety. * Respect established internal rules regarding the protocol for handing over lost items found during the sorting and counting process. * Contribute to a positive work environment, demonstrate good conduct, and respect behavioral policies set by the Housekeeping Department and the hotel. * Be tolerant and flexible when working individually and in teams as required. * Show flexibility in accepting shift changes when needed. * Demonstrate sensitivity, respect, teamwork, friendliness, and impeccable attitude toward guests and fellow employees, particularly team members. * Handle guest situations and requests quickly and effectively. * Be capable of performing other duties and responding to requirements from the Lingerie Supervisor, Housekeeper, and Floor Coordinator. **Monthly** * Assist the Lingerie Supervisor in conducting the monthly inventory. **Throughout the Year** * Attend training sessions when required, memorize international laundry symbols and signs, and understand each shift's responsibilities and LHW laundry service standards.
