We join efforts from all provinces across the country to reduce the impact caused by cancer and improve people's lives. ***What does being a virtual reality glasses companion volunteer at the hospital mean?*** The "Virtual Reality Glasses" activity is aimed at both oncology patients and their families, helping to make long waiting times at the hospital more enjoyable, thereby reducing the impact of the illness and humanizing the hospital environment. ✏***What tasks should I perform?*** Mainly, it involves *accompanying individuals* who will use this electronic device so they can properly immerse themselves in a multidimensional experience: * Speak with the nursing team to identify which patients we can offer the activity to * Present the activity to the indicated patients, either in the treatment room or on the oncology ward * Ensure the glasses are disinfected before each use * Ensure the glasses are charged and stored in the proper location after use * Pick up the glasses before the start of the activity and go to the day hospital or ward as instructed by our coordinator * ***When should I carry out my volunteering?*** This activity takes place Monday through Friday during morning hours from 9:30 to 12:30. ***Where will I carry out my volunteering?*** * At **Mateu Orfila Hospital**. * It will take place in waiting rooms of the Day Hospital, treatment rooms, general waiting areas, and hospitalization wards. ***How can I join?*** By applying to this opportunity, the Volunteer Coordinator will contact you for a profile suitability interview. Afterwards, you must complete specific training for hospital companionship, and finally undergo a gradual integration process at the hospital. Your main responsibility within the company will be to support the proper management of the reception by carrying out tasks related to: customer service, guest welcome, check-in, stay, and check-out procedures, reservation management, assistance and information provision, all aimed at achieving full customer satisfaction with the services offered, following the hotel's established quality and efficiency standards. Your main responsibilities, under the supervision of receptionists and the reception manager, will include: * Supporting reservation processing, incident control, and follow-up. * Monitoring expected occupancy. * Preparing keys prior to guest arrival. * Performing guest check-ins. * Handling guest requests and suggestions, and informing guests about available services and facilities. * Managing telephone switchboard operations. * Monitoring direct guests and corresponding billing. * Assisting in incident resolution. * Controlling and archiving all documentation. * Performing other duties typical of the department.
