Operation of mining shovels and loading shovels for cleaning berms and loading dump trucks, respectively. Strict adherence to proper equipment usage to ensure operational reliability. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assess risks present in the task, act accordingly, and implement measures to eliminate or minimize those risks. * Participate in safety briefings, receive instructions from the supervisor, plan and prepare the task. * Conduct a thorough inspection of the worksite, evaluating exposure risks documented in the GRF form. Eliminate or mitigate identified risks. If unable to do so independently, report to the supervisor. * Perform a complete equipment checklist. Identify malfunctions and report them to maintenance, providing key information for prompt resolution. * Know and comply with operational procedures related to equipment operation. * Maintain equipment and workplace in good condition regarding maintenance, cleanliness, tagging, and organization. * Monitor work pace to avoid impacting the dump truck fleet’s productivity. Follow instructions from the supervisor and/or the control room operator at the 700 Crushing Plant regarding origin or destination of material removal. * Ensure proper equipment functionality through periodic inspections to verify operational readiness (e.g., oil levels, diesel level, correct tire pressure, proper lubrication, etc.). * Immediately inform responsible management of any changes in the removal circuit or altered conditions at the working face. * Comply with the company’s active 5S policies, including workplace organization, cleanliness, and order. * Ensure compliance with “General Safety, Health, Environment and Communities Policies” within Department-related areas and facilities, thereby fulfilling applicable legislation, ensuring safe working conditions, and minimizing environmental and community impacts from Somincor’s activities. **Job Requirements:** * Secondary education mandatory (12th grade). * Initial Mining Training (preferred). \- Specific operational training (Working at Heights; Load Lifting \- Overhead Cranes and Winches). * On-the-job training in Dump Truck and Mining/Loading Shovel Operation. * Prior experience with this type of operation is an advantage. **Technical Competencies:** * Advanced knowledge of operating 60- and 65-ton dump trucks. * Intermediate knowledge of operating mining and/or loading shovels. * Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. * Strong teamwork ability and perseverance. \- Important!
