At El Corte Inglés, our work is a shared passion.** **The project awaiting you.** You will participate in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of technological solutions, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, functional analysts, architects, and other technical teams to transform functional requirements into robust, maintainable, and corporately aligned technological solutions. We seek a candidate with experience in Backend Java development and the ability to complement or perform functional analysis when needed—understanding business processes, identifying needs, and translating functional requirements into sound technical designs and high-quality implementations. You will be involved throughout the entire solution lifecycle—from initial definition and estimation through development, testing, deployment, and subsequent support—working in Agile environments and with microservices-based architectures. **Key responsibilities and requirements.** **Key responsibilities and requirements.** --------------------------------------- * Minimum of **5 years’ experience in Backend software development with Java**. * Perform functional analysis of initiatives or review functional requirements prepared by other analysts, identifying potential gaps, dependencies, risks, or inconsistencies. * Understand business needs and processes and translate them into viable, robust, and maintainable technical solutions. * Identify incomplete or ambiguous requirements, propose alternatives, and collaborate with functional and business teams to finalize the solution. * Participate in defining the architecture and technical design of solutions, collaborating with Architecture teams to ensure compliance with established technological standards. * Provide effort, complexity, and impact estimates for assigned initiatives. * Design, develop, and implement Backend solutions applying best practices in development, design, quality, and security. * Ensure maintainability, scalability, and evolvability of developed solutions. * Participate in technical reviews and collaborate in resolving both functional and technical questions during initiative development. * Define and execute unit and integration tests; participate in functional validation; and verify correct integration behavior with other systems. * Ensure acceptance criteria and required quality levels are met before production release. * Participate in preparation and execution of deployments, providing support during implementation and warranty periods. * Analyze and resolve incidents, identifying root causes and proposing improvements to enhance solution stability and reduce problem recurrence. * Collaborate effectively with functional analysts, architects, QA, business stakeholders, and other technical teams within Agile environments. **Essential technical requirements** * **Java 11/17 or later.** * **Spring Framework:** Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security. * Design and development of **REST APIs**. * **JPA / Hibernate**. * Microservices-based architectures. * Knowledge and application of **design patterns and SOLID principles**. * System integration via REST services. * Experience with relational databases such as **Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or equivalents**. * **Git**. * **Maven or Gradle**. * Experience with **CI/CD tools and processes**. * Experience in unit and integration testing using **JUnit and Mockito**. * Familiarity with code quality analysis tools. **Highly desirable** * Experience with **Docker** and **Kubernetes/OpenShift**. * Knowledge of distributed systems, high availability, and scalability. * Experience with event-driven architectures (**EDA**). * Familiarity with **Apache Kafka**. * Experience with **Neo4j** or other graph databases. * Knowledge of observability tools such as **AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK**. * Strong analytical ability, autonomy, and problem-solving orientation. * Ability to understand complex business processes and translate functional needs into technical solutions. * Communication skills across technical, functional, and business profiles. * Results-oriented mindset, commitment to technical excellence, and continuous improvement. **We offer a variety of social benefits contributing to your well-being.** * Exclusive discounts and financing options. * Life insurance. * Corporate University. * Continuous training for professional development. * Educational assistance for employees’ children. * In-house medical service. * Flexible compensation plan. **If this position interests you, we invite you to apply—your experience could be highly valuable to us.
