At Cal Fruitós, we know that fresh produce cannot wait: fruits and vegetables demand speed, precision, and an excellent level of service.
The afternoon shift is the engine that prepares tomorrow’s operations; we are not seeking someone who merely supervises orders, but an operational leader capable of managing the picking rhythm, coordinating the team, and ensuring every route departs on time and error-free.

As the person responsible for the afternoon shift’s operations, you will play a key role in ensuring operations that are:
Agile and organized: prioritizing orders and optimizing preparation routes.
Safe and aligned with food safety regulations: ensuring strict compliance with occupational risk prevention and hygiene standards.
Service excellence-oriented: minimizing picking errors to the greatest extent possible and guaranteeing standards for fresh produce.
We expect human-centered yet firm leadership grounded in consistency and sound decision-making.
**2. Scope of Responsibility**
➢ Team management and coordination: efficient task organization and distribution, performance monitoring, continuous feedback, and resolution of staff incidents.
➢ Operational planning: order prioritization based on delivery routes, ensuring adherence to preparation deadlines and adapting operations according to daily volume.
➢ Picking supervision: ensuring accurate preparation of fruit and vegetable orders, implementing improvements to minimize errors.
➢ Quality and service-level assurance: reviewing fruit/vegetable standards and resolving incidents arising during preparation.
➢ Strict compliance with safety and occupational risk prevention (PRL): ensuring application of occupational health and safety regulations across all warehouse operations.
➢ Incident management, communication, and leadership: smooth coordination with other shifts and departments, and active leadership in team development and cohesion.
**3. Required Professional Profile**
➤ Proven experience: experience coordinating or leading teams and logistics operations in food-related environments (Experience specifically in the fruit/vegetable or fresh produce sector is highly valued).
➤ Leadership: direct management of picking teams, motivation, high expectations, and hands-on leadership on the warehouse floor.
➤ Operational knowledge: solid command of stock control, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
➤ Problem-solving ability: agility in decision-making, incident management, and adaptability to fluctuations in workload.
➤ Execution- and service-oriented: commitment to rigor, deadline adherence, and elimination of preparation errors.
**4. Professional Offer**
➤ Stable schedule: Fixed afternoon shift (from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM), Monday through Friday.
➤ Location: Mercabarna.
➤ Competitive compensation: Salary to be agreed upon based on the candidate’s value and experience.
➤ Benefits and product discounts
➤ Stable project: Joining a well-established and growing food retail environment.
**You’ll come for the professional challenge—but stay for the culture, respect, and well-being.**
