The Consorci per a la Gestió dels Residus del Vallès Oriental is seeking technical staff to fill a Control Room Operator position (First-Class Officer, Classification Group C2) assigned to the Waste Treatment Area. • Monitor waste processing and ensure proper preparation of the various fractions obtained, based on their nature and subsequent destination at the treatment center. • Verify correct operation of treatment systems, adjust their lines as needed, perform waste monitoring, and implement appropriate corrective measures. • Verify safety measures proposed for personnel, the surrounding environment, and treatment lines. • Supervise alignment between incoming waste to be treated and its characterization from prior testing. • Unload and monitor waste in accordance with technical specifications corresponding to each treatment line. • Quantify daily waste generation by type and maintain an up-to-date internal waste register. • Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks on equipment and machinery at the treatment center, as authorized. • Maintain daily contact with the Maintenance Department, reporting incidents affecting equipment and submitting relevant notifications. • Report to the supervisor any matter or issue related to the center and its operations, and provide a daily summary of treated waste and tasks performed. • Operate vehicles and machinery required for the center’s activities. • Prepare and coordinate transportation of waste and materials destined for external facilities (e.g., final disposal sites such as landfills or incinerators, or, in the case of light packaging, sorting plants), using consortium-owned resources. • Apply data protection measures established by the consortium when handling personal data, comply with applicable legislation on personal data protection, and uphold confidentiality obligations regarding such data, which persist even after termination of the employment or official relationship with the consortium. • Ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace, in compliance with established procedures and current occupational risk prevention regulations. • Be designated as preventive resources for maintenance or cleaning tasks scheduled during the shift. • Issue all necessary work permits in accordance with plant-established procedures. • And, generally, perform other similar duties assigned. * Minimum 2 years’ experience. – Experience in waste treatment plants, or industrial environments, laboratories, or quality departments. – Experience in project management, monitoring, and verification. – Experience in waste management. – Experience in companies operating in the waste or environmental sector. * Degree in Environmental Sciences * Technical Engineering Degree * Higher Vocational Training Certificate (CFGS) in Environmental Management * Catalan (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Spanish (spoken: advanced; written: advanced) * Personal vehicle availability * Driving license: Category B * Temporary employment contract (4 months) * Full-time working hours * Additional relevant information: Annual gross salary: €29,826.19.
