




**Job Description:** The Hotel Encinar de Sotogrande, recognized for its excellence in gastronomy and customer service, is seeking to add a Sous-Chef to its team, the second-in-command in the kitchen, to work closely with the Head Chef and ensure smooth operations. Supervise food preparation, coordinate the team, and ensure dishes meet quality and presentation standards. **Responsibilities:** * Support the Head Chef in organizing, supervising, and controlling all kitchen operations. * Coordinate dish execution during each shift. * Supervise and direct the cooking team in food preparation. * Ensure compliance with recipes and presentation standards. * Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu planning, technical sheets, cost calculations, and cost control. * Monitor and manage raw material inventory and place orders as needed. * Ensure cleanliness, safety, order in the kitchen, and compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. * Perform the Head Chef's duties in their absence and assist in normal kitchen operations when necessary. * Propose ideas for continuous improvement of service and the dining experience. **Requirements:** * Degree in Gastronomy or equivalent experience. * Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in similar roles. * Experience leading and supervising staff. * Knowledge of food safety and cost management. **Key Competencies:** * Operational leadership. * Culinary technique proficiency. * Problem-solving skills. * Time management. * Teamwork.
