We support our clients in technological and agile transformation projects. **We work in discipline-based teams and multidisciplinary squads across highly diverse projects** (retail, healthcare research, banking, security, mobility, etc.). Although we’ve grown significantly over the past year, we remain true to our essence: **people-first**. We maintain constant personal follow-up with our technical and Talent teams. Moreover, we consistently champion transparency and clarity. We operate in **Spain, Mexico, and Peru**. At Kairós, you’ll find projects enabling remote work — without losing closeness with the rest of the team! **What are we looking for?** At **Kairós**, we seek professionals with experience as **Backend Developers**, who will join our Tech discipline, led by **Carlos Cañado and Reinaldo Aguilera**. We’re looking for a Backend Developer with development experience who enjoys building robust and scalable solutions, and who wants to work in an environment where technology directly impacts digital payment products: card tokenization, e-commerce authentication, and QR code reading. **Responsibilities** * Design and develop APIs and microservices. * Implement new features and evolve existing services in payment environments. * Analyze technical requirements and propose viable solutions alongside the team. * Collaborate with architecture, frontend, and other system teams. * Write and maintain tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end). * Participate in solution certification with brands (Visa, Mastercard, etc.). * Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to sound development practices. * Work in an agile (Scrum) environment, participating in daily stand-ups, backlog refinements, and retrospectives. **Requirements** * Solid hands-on experience developing in Java with Spring Boot. * Experience building REST APIs and backend services, and using tools such as Insomnia or similar. * Practical knowledge of microservice development. * Experience working with Git and version control. * Experience in automated testing (unit and integration). * Experience in Maven-based projects. * Experience in unit, integration, and E2E testing (familiarity with Mockito, JUnit, etc.). * Knowledge of agile methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc. **Nice-to-have** * Experience with Kotlin. * Experience working on AWS. * Familiarity with banking environments or internal platforms (ASO/APX). * Database language knowledge, preferably Oracle. * Experience in payment systems or brand certifications. * Knowledge of Python. * Experience using AI-based tools for software development. **Soft Skills** * Analytical and problem-solving ability: To understand complex payment flows, detect failures, and propose solid technical solutions, considering both technical and functional contexts. * Effective communication: To explain technical solutions, participate in discussions with other teams (architecture, frontend, product owner, service owner, scrum master, developers, tech leads), and document accurately. * Proactivity: Not only executing tasks but also identifying improvements, anticipating issues, and proposing solutions — maintaining a continuous learning mindset in the fast-evolving tech landscape. * Quality orientation: Especially critical in payments — attention to detail, focus on testing, and preventing production errors. * Adaptability: Handling shifting priorities, evolving requirements, certifications — thriving in dynamic environments. * Responsibility and ownership: Taking full accountability for what you build — from design through production and ongoing support. Over **350 Kairoseros and Kairoseras** make up our Tech family at Kairós, delivering technological solutions across all types of projects — from inception and product definition — working with diverse frameworks and ensuring solutions that are not only effective but also easy to use, maintain, and adapt to today’s technological landscape. **What can we offer you?** At Kairós, you’ll find: * Free English classes in small groups. * 23 vacation days, plus December 24th and 31st off, 1 day for events, and **3 flexible-work days**! * Enjoy summer with our reduced working hours in August and intensive Friday schedules throughout the year. * Flexible compensation via Cobee — usable for dining, public transport, training, and childcare vouchers. * Health insurance with Cigna or Sanitas — because we care about your physical and mental well-being. * Continuous personal support through our Wellness 3.0 program and ongoing technical mentoring. * Opportunities to strengthen your personal brand through internal and external events. * Membership in a vibrant community, backed by exceptional people and industry leaders. * But above all… being part of a company that listens to you, cares for you, and strives to meet your needs and expectations. You’ll fit right in if you love learning, sharing knowledge, and treating others with respect and kindness. If you’re keen to contribute to an open, transparent, and trusting culture — and if you possess organizational skills, responsibility, commitment, and a relentless pursuit of code quality. **\#TRY \#THINK \#FEEL \#ENJOY** At Kairós, we firmly believe in the importance of equality and diversity in the workplace.
