Description At **q\-tech**, we are looking for a **Middle Database Administrator** to join one of our clients specializing in **Smart Data and BI consulting services.** You will join a growing technical team, focused on the administration, optimization, and high availability of on\-premises **Microsoft SQL Server** environments. The position is a direct hire with the client and offers a fully remote opportunity, allowing you to work **100% REMOTELY** from anywhere in **SPAIN! ;)** **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server databases in on\-premises environments * Management of **SQL Server Enterprise** environments with high availability using **Always On** * **Continuous system health monitoring:** blocking and deadlocks, memory consumption, overall SQL engine performance, node and replica health * **Performance optimization:** SQL query tuning, analysis and improvement of execution plans * Creation and maintenance of indexes * **System capacity assessment:** growth analysis, infrastructure scaling requirements, architectural improvement proposals * **Database security assurance:** permission and access management, compliance with internal policies and audit requirements, support for ISO certification processes * Definition and execution of backup, restore, and disaster recovery policies * Advanced technical support to internal teams and validation of best practices for SQL Server engine usage **REQUIREMENTS:** * **+5 years of experience** working as a DBA with Microsoft SQL Server * Experience in on\-premises environments * Practical knowledge of SQL Server Enterprise * Experience administering environments featuring: * Always On Availability Groups * High availability and redundancy * Experience with database monitoring tools * Knowledge of SQL Server security * Experience with backup and recovery policies **WHAT THEY OFFER:** * Permanent contract * Flexible working hours; intensive schedule in August * Working mode: **100% remote**, based in **Spain** * **Training:** funding for courses and certifications, language learning.
