**The Role**
The Grid Connection Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire grid connection process for Sonnedix’s renewable energy projects in Spain and Portugal, ensuring the successful and compliant integration of renewable energy plants into the electrical grid. The role involves managing all technical and regulatory requirements, maintaining close relationships with DSOs and TSOs, and navigating the approval processes needed for each project.
A key focus of this position will be supporting the Engineering team and Project Managers, particularly in the design and construction of electrical substations (SE) and high\-voltage transmission lines (AT). The Grid Connection Manager will collaborate across internal and external stakeholders to address grid integration challenges, streamline project timelines, and ensure that all grid‑related requirements are fully embedded throughout project development and execution.
**Desirable skills:**
* Proven experience managing grid connections in Spain and Portugal
* Knowledge of renewable energy grid protocols
* Proven experience in electrical substations and high\-voltage lines construction
* Tech Fluency \& Digital Mindset: Ability to understand and translate regulatory and technical requirements into digital solutions, collaborate with IT/data teams, and leverage digital tools (e.g., GIS platforms, SCADA data, CRM/asset management systems) to optimize grid connection processes and compliance monitoring
* Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory and technical environments
* Languages: Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus
