Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant to join the team of a pilgrim hostel, supporting meal preparation and pantry management. Key Highlights: 1. Collaboration with the hostel team. **Kitchen Assistant – Part-Time (Permanent-Intermittent)** **A Casa de Carmen – Pilgrim Hostel | Barbadelo, Sarria (Lugo)** --- **About the Position** We are looking for a person with kitchen experience to join the team at A Casa de Carmen, a pilgrim hostel on the Camino de Santiago. This position covers the 2026 pilgrimage season, with potential continuity in subsequent seasons. **Responsibilities** - Preparation and cooking of the daily menu for groups of pilgrims - Pantry management and inventory control - Maintaining order and cleanliness in the kitchen - Collaboration with the rest of the hostel team **Requirements** - Prior experience in group or collective cooking - Ability to consistently and judiciously follow an established menu - Strong performance during peak workload periods - Punctuality, autonomy, and attention to pantry management - Personal vehicle (mandatory – the hostel is located 4 km from the center of Sarria) **Conditions** - Schedule: part-time (20–25 hours per week, up to 30 possible), afternoon shifts - Contract type: permanent-intermittent - Start date: immediate - Season: April – October 2026 **How to Apply** Send your updated CV and cover letter to: peregrinosacasadecarmen@gmail.com +34 606 156 705 Salary: €700.00–€1,000.00 per month Work location: On-site employment
