Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as portioning, chopping, and storing prior to use. Safely and appropriately use tools, equipment, and appliances to measure and bake, preparing oven-cooked meals. Follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures. Check and ensure kitchen appliance and food temperatures are correct, reporting any issues to management. Wash and sanitize kitchen areas; set up and break down workstations, following and complying with hygiene and cleaning procedures. Monitor the quality of food being prepared and portions being served throughout the work shift. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Communicate with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting team efforts to achieve common goals. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Reach above shoulder height and below the knees, including bending, twisting, turning, and crouching. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
