Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform comprehensive maintenance activities within an industrial environment. This includes preventive maintenance, focusing on regular inspection and scheduled care of machinery to prevent failures. Additionally, predictive maintenance is carried out, utilizing analysis and monitoring to anticipate potential malfunctions before they occur. Finally, corrective maintenance is also performed, involving the repair and commissioning of equipment once a failure has occurred. The facilities and equipment under responsibility encompass diverse and critical systems, such as overhead cranes, oxy-cutting and plasma-cutting machines, as well as precision machining centers. The role also involves working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems that form an integral part of machinery operation, ensuring all components operate within correct pressure and force parameters. A fundamental aspect of this role is continuous monitoring of proper machinery operation, requiring meticulous observation and the ability to diagnose irregularities in equipment behavior. This constant monitoring is vital for ensuring productivity, workplace safety, and extending the service life of industrial assets. The person in this position plays a key role in the plant’s operational sustainability, contributing to minimizing unplanned downtime and optimizing available resources to maintain an efficient and safe production flow. Salary compensation is determined in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the metal sector, referencing professional categories of First-, Second-, or Third-Class Skilled Workers, depending on the candidate’s competence and experience. Working hours are organized in rotating shifts, with schedules either from 06:00 to 14:00 or from 15:00 to 23:00, Monday through Friday. The initial employment contract is a fixed-term contract for three months, extendable by an additional three months. Following this probationary and evaluation period, there is the possibility of permanent incorporation into the company’s workforce, subject to satisfactory performance and organizational needs. A medium- or higher-level vocational training qualification (FP Grado Medio or FP Grado Superior) in directly related fields—such as Maintenance, Electricity, or Mechanics—is mandatory. A minimum of three years’ demonstrable experience in the industrial sector is required. This experience must cover the installation of mechanical and electromechanical equipment, as well as the installation and operation of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Practical experience in maintaining electromechanical equipment and installations—and their various components—is also required. Specific training courses—including those for elevated work platforms, electrical risk, or 60-hour Occupational Risk Prevention—are considered advantageous. Furthermore, prior experience in maintaining specialized machinery—such as oxy-cutting machines, plasma-cutting machines, and machining centers—will be viewed favorably.
