We are seeking an Elution / Merrill Crowe / Reagents Operator to join our team at Salares Norte. Purpose The vital purpose of this role is to efficiently operate and monitor critical equipment within elution and Merrill-Crowe processes, as well as manage reagents. This ensures operational continuity and minimizes production losses, directly contributing to the performance and efficiency of the processing plant. The primary challenge is maintaining precision and effectiveness in handling equipment and reagents under high-altitude working conditions and constant supervision. The need to coordinate time and available resources effectively—while adjusting complex operational variables—requires a balance between precise execution and strict adherence to safety and environmental protocols. **In this position, your main responsibilities will be:** Operate and monitor elution, Merrill-Crowe, and reagents equipment, adjusting operational variables such as temperature and solution concentration. Maintain operational continuity of equipment and processes to reduce production losses. Conduct shift-based inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning. Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks in work area facilities and equipment. Submit shift reports detailing operational variables, events, and updates to your direct supervisor. Who are we looking for? **Education:** Graduate of a Technical Higher Education program in Plant Operations, Materials Processing, or related fields. **Experience:** Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within mining or mineral processing, specifically operating elution, Merrill-Crowe, or hazardous reagent handling processes. **Knowledge:** Operation of elution equipment in metallurgical plants; monitoring and adjustment of operational variables in Merrill-Crowe processes; handling of hazardous reagents such as cyanide and caustic soda; basic maintenance of industrial equipment. **Skills:** Experience in metallurgical process operation and monitoring, adjustment of operational variables, and equipment inspections.
