




**Summary** ----------- **Position Title:** Applications Engineer (f/m/d) **Requisition Numbers:** 1988 / 1989 **Location:** Vitoria\-Gasteiz or Barcelona (Hybrid – 60% travel) Join the dynamic team at Hexagon MI's Solution Hub as an Applications Engineer (f/m/d) and play a key role in advancing metrology and automation solutions. You will support the implementation of cutting-edge technologies through technical demonstrations, custom application development, solution commissioning, and customer training across global markets. You will work closely with all divisions of the Solution Hub — from product development and testing to commissioning and after-sales support — contributing your technical expertise across Hexagon's entire portfolio. This position is open to recent graduates or junior professionals in engineering, quality, or mechanical fields, and offers excellent opportunities for growth within a collaborative and international environment. **Job Responsibilities** -------------------------------- * Conduct hardware and software product demonstrations, including complex customized configurations, for prospective and existing customers. * Effectively communicate product benefits, enabling customers to make informed decisions. * Support the sales team by recommending solutions tailored to specific customer needs. * Prepare comprehensive user documentation and conduct training sessions to ensure effective product usage. * Support on-site commissioning phases at customer facilities, including part programming, testing, and quality validation. * Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive and responsive support, fostering long-term partnerships. * Develop customized applications and programs that meet customer requirements. * Prepare detailed technical specifications for commercial proposals. * Continuously improve existing applications and stay up to date with emerging technologies in application engineering. * Collaborate with internal teams at the Automation Solution Hub on product development and contribute to innovation initiatives. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Required** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field. * Proficiency in CAD/CAM, interpretation of drawings, and dimensioning according to GD\&T. * Strong command of English (spoken and written). * Customer-oriented with a focus on service excellence. * Willingness to travel up to 60% (national and international). * Valid class B driver's license. **Preferred:** * Experience with PC\-DMIS or other dimensional metrology software. * Knowledge of robotics and automation systems. * Programming skills in C\# or PLC (preferably Siemens PLC). * Experience with Visual Basic. * Fluency in Spanish. **What We Offer** ----------------- * A growing Automation Hub in Spain: we are expanding our team and creating new opportunities — join us during this exciting growth phase. * Global exposure: work with international clients and travel to Asia and America, expanding your network and gaining hands-on experience in a global context. * Cultural exchange and collaboration: be part of a diverse and international team where your unique perspective is valued.
