The Position
As the Lead System Architect (LSA) \- Platform Architect, you will serve as the highest technical authority for the Pega Platform within the Workflow Automation team. In this strategic role, you define the enterprise class structure, lead the technical governance of the Digital Process Automation (DPA) ecosystem, and ensure all automation solutions are built for maximum reuse, scalability, and performance. You act as the primary technical consultant for the Product Owner and business stakeholders, transforming high\-level business visions into robust, future\-proof architectural blueprints. Define and enforce the Pega Enterprise Class Structure (ECS) and foundational architectural layers.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead technical reviews for high\-complexity initiatives and ensure strict adherence to development guardrails.
* Solve complex technical challenges and architectural ambiguities, conducting feasibility studies and performance impact assessments for enterprise\-wide integrations.
* Act as the ultimate technical mentor for Senior System Architects (SSAs) and System Architects (SAs), fostering a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
* Partner closely with the Product Owner to influence the DPA roadmap from a technical feasibility and sustainability perspective.
* Oversee system health, security compliance, and performance tuning using diagnostic tools.
* Drive the implementation of modern DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing strategies for the platform.
Who You Are
* You are a visionary technical leader who balances immediate delivery needs with long\-term platform stability. You possess a passion for challenging the status quo and driving continuous innovation in Digital Process Automation.
* You bring a minimum of 8–12 years in software engineering, with at least 5–7 years dedicated specifically to Pega platform architecture.
* Certification: A valid Pega Lead System Architect (LSA) certification is a mandatory requirement for this role.
* Track Record: You have proven experience leading the technical architecture for large\-scale, multi\-stream Pega implementations in a global environment.
* Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Pega Infinity (8\.x/24\.x) Case Management, DevOps (Deployment Manager), and Security models.
* Integration\& Performance: Expert knowledge of microservices, REST/SOAP, OAuth, and Kafka integrations, alongside advanced proficiency in diagnostic tools and database optimization.
* Infrastructure: Strong understanding of cloud\-native Pega deployments (AWS/Azure) and containerization.
* Communication: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence senior technical leaders and navigate complex team dynamics.
