Key job responsibilities Apprenticeship Program: We offer you a unique opportunity to train while gaining professional experience through a two-year program, enabling you to earn the official Master’s Degree in Industry 4.0 from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena and acquire the professional experience required to join our RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering) teams at our logistics centers. The program is structured as follows: * You will complete the Master’s Degree in Industry 4.0 from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena; you can consult its website via the following link: https://estudios.upct.es/master/2491/inicio . It will be delivered in an alternating format, meaning your work schedule will be adjusted to accommodate both class hours and self-study time alongside your professional experience hours. * You will receive additional training in areas such as Occupational Health and Safety, English, and technical supplements (PLCs, etc.). * You will undertake your apprenticeship by learning the profession while working at the logistics center to which you applied. During these phases, you will work on pre-established shifts adapted to your academic timetable. * Throughout the program, you will receive support from a dedicated mentor who will guide you successfully through both your academic studies and your time at our logistics centers, and you will be able to complete your Master’s thesis (TFM) on a practical topic within our logistics centers and see the applied results. During the apprenticeship program, you will work toward achieving the following objectives: * Interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, and understand and develop strategies to improve code according to IEC 61131\-3\. * Work hands-on by actively monitoring systems to detect and repair faults, thereby ensuring high equipment availability for our internal customers. * Train technical staff in fundamental concepts for fault detection in control systems to elevate site-wide knowledge levels. * Work within the EU Control Network to enhance the capability to monitor MHE (Material Handling Equipment) metrics and deliver visualization and data to internal customers through prioritization and problem resolution. * Actively participate in or lead continuous improvement projects coordinated by the EU Control Network. * Achieve SME (Subject Matter Expert) level proficiency across all control systems and sensors within the center. * Collaborate with IT, Controls Engineering, and EU Operations Engineering teams to ensure all systems are properly documented and that an accurate, up-to-date support library is maintained. * Work alongside global teams to support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. * Support other centers across the EU network as needed. Program Structure: You will sign an alternating training contract allowing you to alternate between academic studies and professional experience over two years (Master’s curriculum will be structured to be completed within two years). You will begin the apprenticeship program in late August 2026, studying the Master’s Degree in Industry 4.0 from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in alternating format (classes will be scheduled within your working hours), where you will acquire all foundational knowledge of this profession and apply it directly at our logistics centers. Throughout the entire program, you will receive support from your assigned mentor at the logistics center, and simultaneously receive essential technical guidance from our company professionals to ensure effective knowledge transfer and acquisition of skills related to our specific technologies. At the logistics centers, you will immerse yourself in this profession by spending time alongside our teams, experiencing daily tasks firsthand—all under the supervision and guidance of a mentor from our professional team.
