Among many things, what makes SGS special is our culture. **Job Description** We are looking to hire a **Health and Safety Coordinator** for construction sites, in compliance with **Royal Decree 1627/1997**, which establishes minimum health and safety requirements for construction works. Your mission will be to ensure the correct application of preventive principles during both the design and execution phases, safeguarding the safety of all parties involved in the project. **Main Responsibilities** * Coordinate the application of general prevention principles during the design and execution of the construction work. * Approve the Health and Safety Plan prepared by the contractor and any subsequent modifications. * Coordinate on-site activities to ensure consistency in the implementation of preventive measures by contractors, subcontractors, and self-employed workers. * Promote cooperation among concurrent companies. * Conduct periodic site visits and issue follow-up reports. * Monitor compliance with safe work procedures. * Draft or supervise the Health and Safety Study or Basic Study, as applicable. **Requirements** * Eligible university degree: Architecture, Engineering, Technical Architecture, or Technical Engineering. * Specific training in Occupational Risk Prevention (minimum 300 hours, advanced level). * Demonstrable experience coordinating health and safety on construction sites. * Up-to-date knowledge of current regulations (RD 1627/1997, LOE, RD 39/1997, RD 171/2004\). * Ability to work collaboratively, lead, and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. * Valid driver’s license **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience in building construction and civil engineering projects. * Proficiency with digital tools for document management and coordination. * Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the province of Girona. **Additional Information** **What can we offer you?** Working at SGS means joining a team where innovation, integrity, and safety are **our DNA.** **Our best-kept secret?** The people who make up SGS.
