**Published:** 06/10/2025**Deadline:** 03/11/2025**Envisaged Job Starting Date:**The Center for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials (CIC biomaGUNE) offers Master's students the possibility to develop their Master's Project (trabajo de fin de máster \-TFM\- in Spanish) within one of CIC biomaGUNE's research groups. **Description of the Program** Three options are available: * **Laboratory research project**. This type of project aims at training the student in laboratory\-based scientific skills. The student will endeavor to execute an experimental project. * **Technology development research project.** This type of project aims at training the student in scientific and technological skills. The student will endeavor to execute a laboratory project oriented to the maturation of a technology. * **Entrepreneurial research project.** This type of project aims at training the student in entrepreneurial skills. The student will provide support in the design of a business model and initial steps of deep\-tech entrepreneurial ventures. We are looking for highly motivated students who, once completed their master’s degree, would like to pursue their PhD studies at CIC biomaGUNE, or be members of entrepreneurial teams leading technology\-based start\-ups leveraging on CIC biomaGUNE’s technology portfolio. The Master Project will be conducted under the supervision of a CIC biomaGUNE Principal Researcher. During their stay, students will have access to suitable laboratory space, equipment, research supplies and support from CIC biomaGUNE staff. They will work alongside pre and post doctoral researchers, and receive training at the highest levels also by participating to CIC biomaGUNE seminars. **A maximum of 3 scholarships will be awarded.** The program runs for a total of **6 months**. Due to administrative and visa requirements, this intership is limited to students from European countries with a valid passport. **Eligibility criteria** * Candidates must have obtained a University Degree + For *Laboratory \& technology development research projects,* in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biomedicine, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, Nanoscience, Physics or related areas. + For *Entrepreneurial research projects,* in business\- or enterprise\-related areas. * Candidates must be officially admitted and registered at the time of the start of the fellowship. * Candidates must have a good working knowledge of English. **Application Process** The application will include the following information in English: * Complete CV * Master Pre\-registration proof * Cover letter stating why you are interested in this fellowship, which laboratory you would like to join and how you expect this program will benefit you on a personal and academic level. Candidates are encouraged to check information (https://www.cicbiomagune.es/org/researchgroups) regarding the laboratory and the Group Leader before submitting the application. * The contact details of at least one referee who can provide a refrence. **Remarks** Positions will be awarded on a competitive basis taking into consideration the students’ academic records and the motivation and reference letters. **Once it has been verified that the student meets the requirements, it will be necessary to complete the relevant documentation with the university to coordinate the internship (sign the educational cooperation agreement between CIC biomaGUNE and the university, the annex with the details of the internship, etc.) before the start of the scholarship. To do this, the student should contact the department responsible for the regulation of internships at their university, collaborating with the HR department of CIC biomaGUNE.** **Non\-national students will have to obtain the corresponding authorization to reside and develop the master project in Spain.** **Scholarship** * Total scholarship amount: 583 €/month gross (Before deductions of taxes and social security contribution) * If the candidate is not from the Basque Country: 1 return ticket to the student’s place of residence (up to 200 €) in economy fare.
