If you are passionate about cooking, strongly committed to excellence, and wish to develop professionally within the dynamic tourism sector, this is your opportunity to join a growing company offering an excellent working environment. **About the Position:** The Buffet Attendant will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality preparation, presentation, and service of buffet offerings, actively contributing to guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the hotel’s gastronomy area. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Food Preparation and Presentation:** Prepare, cook, and attractively and appetizingly present culinary items intended for buffet service, ensuring freshness, quality, and correct temperature. * **Buffet Service:** Actively collaborate in the setup, service, and breakdown of buffets, maintaining cleanliness and order at all times. Ensure constant replenishment of dishes during service to guarantee a seamless guest experience. * **Material and Equipment Control:** Inspect and monitor kitchen and buffet-area equipment and supplies, immediately reporting any incidents, malfunctions, or replenishment needs to the direct supervisor. * **Collaboration in Planning:** Participate in menu and chart planning, contributing ideas and suggestions based on gastronomic trends and product availability. * **Cost and Inventory Management:** Assist in managing product costs and inventories, as well as placing orders and receiving goods, always under supervision. * **Product Preservation and Utilization:** Monitor and ensure proper storage and optimal utilization of assigned products, minimizing waste and optimizing resources. * **Cleanliness and Hygiene Maintenance:** Strictly comply with food hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP), maintaining cleanliness and order at the workstation and in shared kitchen and buffet areas. * **Customer Service:** Address basic guest inquiries or requests related to buffet service, projecting professionalism and friendliness. * **Teamwork:** Foster a collaborative, mutually supportive work environment with other kitchen and dining room staff. **Join the ALEGRIA family and make every guest experience unforgettable!** REQUIREMENTS **Position Requirements:** * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of demonstrable experience in similar roles, preferably as a buffet attendant or kitchen assistant in hotels or restaurants. * **Education:** Vocational training in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related fields will be valued. * **Knowledge:** Solid knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
