The Catalan Institute of Oncology is initiating a selection process to incorporate **a Hematology and Hemotherapy Specialist Physician** into the Hematology Laboratory service at the ICO Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre workplace, performing clinical duties at the Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII in Tarragona. The Hematology Department is managed by the Catalan Institute of Oncology and serves as a reference center for the province of Tarragona. It participates in multiple research and teaching projects. Hospital Joan XXIII is a tertiary-level center within the Catalan Health Institute network in Tarragona, with 372 beds offering comprehensive coverage across all medical-surgical specialties and the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). **Mission** The selected candidate will perform comprehensive diagnosis and follow-up of hemostasis-related pathologies. **Functions** Diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of hemostasis disorders such as thrombotic and hemorrhagic diseases, along with laboratory Hematology tasks: supervision of the hemostasis laboratory, validation of techniques, quality control, and training of resident physicians. Represent the institution at national and international events upon request from the General Management, as well as participate in internal committees or meetings as required. **We Offer** Temporary employment contract covering a vacancy until the official appointment decision is made. Full-time schedule (1,668 hours/year – 39 hours/week), distributed with 80% at Hospital Universitari Joan XXIII in Tarragona and 20% at Hospital Pius de Valls.
