Technical Support Technician (Mechanical Profile)

Description

Within our Marine, Metal, and Mining sector and under the Motors & Generators business unit, the primary objective of this position is to take responsibility—always in close contact with the customer—for resolving issues related to already-installed machinery, both in terms of repair and technical advice, to ensure proper machine operation and successful commissioning. Key responsibilities: * . Provide technical support services for machinery, as well as carry out and/or supervise commissioning and field maintenance activities, as required by the sector. * . Customer contact: receive problem descriptions, submit quotations and solutions, communicate usage regulations, etc. * . Prepare technical support interventions. Propose balanced solutions in terms of service quality and cost to maximize mutual benefit for the company and the customer. * . Prepare reports, conduct machine analysis, and document results from technical support interventions. * . Address customer inquiries via telephone. * . Work in accordance with organizational work frameworks (procedures, standards, methodologies, etc.), fostering consistent alignment with corporate values and promoting teamwork. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS * Academic qualification: Higher Vocational Training Diploma and/or Technical or Higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Proficiency in English. * Willingness and ability to travel internationally. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Direct hands-on experience with machinery operation, repairs, technical support, etc. * Knowledge/fluency in Basque.
