Defines, develops, and evaluates key technological concepts that may affect product functionality across a broad range of fields and parameters (friction, strength and fatigue, vibration and acoustics, surface coating, and others). Responsibilities: * Mechanical design of final friction material components * Execution of geometric and mechanical design calculations * Project-specific product selection * Management of final products within relevant systems and tools, such as Windchill, Wiki platform, etc. * Continuous analysis of advanced technology standards in the product’s target sector. * Evaluation of different concepts against technological and commercial aspects. * Creation of specifications and test plans to advance respective technological applications * Technical support to internal departments regarding quality issues and customer complaints * Execution of the internal new-design DVR launch process for design validation. Maintenance of control and tracking tool(s) for this process. * Definition, monitoring, and review of assigned project objectives, including preparation of progress reports * Coordination, planning, and supervision of assigned projects and activities * Monitoring of prototype production, analysis, and evaluation thereof * Management of drawings and items in Windchill Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering * English level C1; German is a plus * Experience with Creo and Windchill.
