ArcelorMittal is seeking a metallurgical engineer for its facilities in Asturias to lead and optimize the metallurgical processes associated with steel production and transformation, ensuring product quality, process stability, personnel safety, and continuous improvement of the facilities. The candidate will participate in the analysis, development, and implementation of technical solutions that contribute to improving productive performance, reducing costs, and ensuring compliance with customer specifications. **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze and optimize metallurgical processes for steel production and product transformation. * Monitor and supervise process parameters to ensure metallurgical quality and compliance with technical specifications. * Investigate and resolve quality incidents related to chemical composition, mechanical properties, microstructure, or manufacturing defects. * Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions. * Define, document, and update operational standards, process procedures, and best practices. * Evaluate and optimize various calculation models related to steel production implemented at Level 2 automation. * Participate in continuous improvement, digitalization, and technological innovation projects. * Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to improve facility reliability and performance. * Develop and analyze process and quality indicators (KPIs), identifying deviations and optimization opportunities. * Evaluate raw materials, consumables, refractories, and new technologies related to metallurgical processes. * Promote compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent qualification. * Experience in steelmaking or metallurgical environments: steel plant, secondary metallurgy, continuous casting, foundry, rolling, or heat treatment. * English: B2 level or equivalent. * Proficiency in data analysis tools and office software.
