We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of (Senior) Solutions Design Manager – Transport Europe \& MEA. In this position you will play a crucial role to develop and design supply chain solutions for high\-complexity project. Key responsibilities include managing agreements on business characteristics, assumptions, and risks with both customers and internal stakeholders. You will lead solution design deliverables, overseeing critical tasks, risks, and mitigation strategies. The role has a preferred location for Madrid, but the role is also open for Bonn or Warsaw.* This is an individual contributor role. What will your responsibilities be? * Lead Solution Design workstreams to secure new business and renew existing contracts, driving growth and innovation in our transport solutions. You will design, with the help of simulation and routing softwares, complex transport solutions. * Provide expert solutions and analytical insights for implementation and re\-engineering needs on key strategic projects, ensuring they align with business objectives. * Establish optimal costing and commercialization strategies for both new and existing business opportunities, maximizing profitability and competitiveness. * Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless implementation of assigned projects, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared goals. * Partner with Business Development and sector teams to identify and propose tailored solution design needs that meet customer expectations and enhance service delivery. * Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned practices and solutions, driving knowledge development through research, training, and engagement on relevant projects. * Create and outline compelling solutions and commercial proposals in formats suited for internal and customer presentations, actively participating in meetings to showcase our value. * Actively seek out and apply innovative practices—whether in facilities, fleet management, technology, or safety—to enhance our solution offerings and meet evolving customer needs. * Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across functions (e.g., BD, Operations, Finance) to continuously improve the solution design process and deliverables. You won’t find another (Senior) Solutions Design Manager \- Transport Europe \& MEA position like the one you’ll find with DHL Supply Chain. Now, here’s what we need from you: * 5\+ years of experience in logistics and operations, especially in transport/network solutions optimization, design, or program/project management * Experience in modelling/simulation and route optimization (preferably using tools like SupplyChainGuruX, Paragon, Ortec, Loghub or similar). * Familiar with transport, sectors, customers, and products within the organization, as well as sustainability goals, ensuring a holistic approach to solution development. * In\-depth knowledge of the End\-to\-End Supply Chain experience, facilitating seamless integration of solutions across various functions. * Relevant knowledge of transport, and supply chain operations, enhancing the ability to design practical and efficient solutions. * Sales experience is desirable, demonstrating the ability to engage with customers and identify opportunities for solution development. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis, analytical mindset, along with experience in at least one modeling or simulation tool to support decision\-making processes. * Strong understanding of DHL divisional products and capabilities, enabling effective solution design tailored to customer needs is a plus * Excellent verbal and written communication in English * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistic Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or similar It will be also a plus if you have… * Previous experience in transport Operations context e.g dispatching, transport planning, Control Tower operations or carrier management * Knowledge of sustainable transport solution and design (electric vehicles, HVO/alternative fuels, LNG/CNG vehicles, multimodal/intermodal solutions, carbon reporting etc.) * Automotive sector knowledge * Spanish is a plus as well as any other European language.
