Public Programs Coordinator Country: Spain **NOW IS THE TIME** Santander ( www.santander.com ) is evolving from a high-impact global brand into a technology-driven organization, with people at the heart of this journey. Together, we are leading a customer-centric transformation that values disruptive thinking, the courage to challenge what is possible, and the ability to innovate. This is more than a strategic shift: it is an opportunity to grow, learn, and make real impact. Our mission is to help more people and businesses thrive. We embrace a strong risk culture and expect all our teams to adopt a proactive and responsible approach to risk management. **THE IMPACT YOU WILL GENERATE** **Faro Santander — Fundación Banco Santander** is seeking **a Public Programs Coordinator** based in **Santander.** Faro Santander is a space still being defined—and that is precisely what makes it interesting. We seek someone who understands public programming not as an event agenda, but as a means of building community around current debates and live artistic experiences: someone who knows which conversations they want to provoke, with whom, and why—and who has the capacity to carry them out rigorously and ambitiously. Reporting to the Programs Director, the Public Programs Coordinator will be responsible for conceiving and producing live, multidisciplinary, and differentiated programming. Their work begins before doors open: building the network of relationships that will enable programming with genuine local and international roots. We are redefining how we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration, and the freedom to explore new ideas. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Program Development Conceive and develop—alongside the Programs Director—differentiated, multidisciplinary work lines—including live arts, talks, festivals, and film cycles—capable of generating their own audiences, both in dialogue with exhibitions and as independent offerings. Faro’s Public Programs are not an add-on: they are a proposition in themselves. Institutional Collaboration Establish and consolidate relationships with sector professionals, cultural institutions, and bodies at local, national, and international levels. Faro was born with a collaborative vocation—the co-production and exchange with other institutions is central to its identity. Management and Production Oversee the full lifecycle of each project: calendar planning, licensing and permit processing, technical coordination, and on-site setup. The Coordinator has autonomy over the projects they lead and is responsible for their end-to-end execution—managing external contracts when necessary, supported by the Faro team. Institutional Representation Represent and moderate public events as Faro’s reference figure, ensuring professional, high-quality service for all attendees. In many instances, the person in this role is the institution’s voice. Audience Development Design and implement audience engagement strategies with special attention to intergenerational participation and connections with youth, diverse collectives, and communities traditionally underserved by cultural spaces. Audience diversity is a foundational condition. Administrative Management Coordinate program operations: calendar and budget planning, income and attendance target tracking, and application of evaluation methodologies to measure the social and cultural impact of programming. **WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM** Our people are our greatest strength. Each individual contributes unique perspectives that make us stronger as a team and as an organization. We value who they are and empower what they bring. The following requirements represent the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies for this position. **Professional Experience** * Demonstrable experience in cultural programming or equivalent content and responsibility roles—in museums, arts centers, festivals, or other cultural institutions. * Experience in international contexts and in co-production projects with external institutions will be especially valued. **Education** * University degree, preferably in Art History, Fine Arts, or Humanities. **Languages** * Written and spoken fluency in Spanish and English. English is essential: the Coordinator will work with international artists and collaborate with Faro’s partner institutions on co-producing projects and content. * Proficiency in additional languages will be valued. **Technical Skills (Hard Skills)** * Experience in production and management of cultural events across varying scales and formats. * Ability to manage budgets and track objectives autonomously. * Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications. **Interpersonal Skills (Soft Skills)** * Curatorial thinking: you are well-versed in contemporary artistic practices in relation to current cultural and social topics. * Relational capacity: you build trust-based relationships with highly diverse profiles—artists, institutions, local communities. * Rigor and flexibility: you manage multiple concurrent projects without losing focus or missing deadlines. * Genuine commitment to audience diversity: as a guiding principle informing every programming decision. **Other** * Availability for international travel. **WE VALUE YOUR IMPACT** Your contribution matters—and we recognize it.
