




Location: **Nestlé La Penilla Factory** Position: **Projects Engineer** **POSITION DESCRIPTION** The Cantabrian plant of Nestlé La Penilla, with an average workforce of 890 employees, is one of the largest the multinational has in Europe, producing chocolate, confectionery products, soluble cocoa, infant cereals and powdered milk, among other things. The plant is located in Cantabria, Santa María de Cayón, and less than 30 kilometers from Santander. **We are looking for an engineer preferably with a background in industrial engineering, specializing in mechanics or industrial technologies, oriented towards project management and maintenance in a factory setting.** You will have the opportunity to join our plant teams and strengthen your knowledge and skills to develop your career within the Plant Engineering Department. You will be responsible for proposing, studying, and coordinating new projects, improvements, or modifications to be carried out in the facilities and/or production lines of the Plant. You will be responsible for studying and developing an improvement and project plan for the facilities in the sectors assigned to you, aiming to ensure proper operation of the factory's facilities, compliance with internal and external regulations, improving functionality or performance, all while adhering to safety and health, quality, food safety, and environmental standards. **YOUR DAY TO DAY…** * Study and define the technical improvements to be implemented in each area of responsibility. * Collaborate with the Production team personnel in each area of responsibility to define necessary process, production, quality, etc., improvements to implement. * Prepare and develop improvement projects in the different areas of plant responsibility. * Establish specifications for equipment, machines, systems, and/or accessories to be implemented in improvements, request quotes, and place purchase orders. * Manage and coordinate work for the development and implementation of awarded improvements. * Perform safety supervision on works and coordinate with responsible parties from various contractors and subcontractors. * Manage budgets allocated to different improvements awarded to each area of responsibility. * Determine the need for hiring external personnel for improvements (contractors, freelancers, etc.), and manage and control their activities. * Prepare the technical documentation for completed improvements, defining subsequent predictive and preventive maintenance levels and their frequency. **DOES YOUR PROFILE FIT?** University degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technologies. Additional training in electronics, pneumatics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, and process automation is desirable. Experience in maintenance and project management, or similar position, is valued. Knowledge of integrated management systems and certification standards: Safety, Quality, Prevention, and Environment. Experience in change management, non-conformities, and deviations. Experience using SAP is desirable. Computer skills, with demonstrable experience in advanced use of office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital tools such as Power BI. High level of spoken and written English. C1 level is desirable.
