The concept of Smart Grids has brought about a revolution in the sector, and as such, **it is one of the priority research and development, laboratory service, and certification focuses for TECNALIA's Digital Lab Services area**. *If you are a proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented person with the ability to adapt to new projects and enjoy teamwork.* *If you are interested in applied research and transferring the technology you develop yourself to companies… Keep reading…!* ***What you will do:*** * You will join the Digital Area of the Lab Services Unit, Data and Protocols Laboratory. * You will interpret standards, specifications, and procedures detailing the requirements and steps to carry out each test on substation electrical equipment, primarily IEDs and UCSs, as well as LV and MV equipment in Transformer Substations. The tests to be conducted include: + Functionality and interoperability tests according to requirements established by various electricity companies (Iberdrola, Endesa, UFD,…) + Protection function tests according to IEC60255\-1XX + Accuracy tests * You will be responsible for executing tests, from failure analysis to delivering the final report to the client, and must defend the test results before the client. * You will update test procedures when necessary and define the level of detail required in these procedures. * You will participate in new projects related to the digitalization of Smart Grids. ***What we offer:*** * *Opportunities for professional development, participation in leading projects transforming the electrical industry, allowing you to advance your career.* * *Join a multidisciplinary team that is a European reference.* * *Access to work-life balance measures.* * *Indefinite contract* ***Requirements:*** * Education: **Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or similar, or Higher Vocational Training in the electrical or electronic field**. * Languages: **English**, written and spoken. **Minimum level B2** * Minimum **2 years of experience in a similar role** * Knowledge of operation of electrical protection equipment and automation and control systems, especially those located in Transformer Substations and Electrical Substations. * Knowledge of power system protocols: IEC 61850, IEC 60870\-5\-104, API\-REST, … * Experience interpreting product specifications, customer requirements, and test documents * Experience in validation of Electrical Substation equipment, specifically UCSs and IEDs, including their protection functions. * Experience in validation of LV and MV equipment in Transformer Substations. * Ability to prepare test reports and test documentation according to laboratory quality criteria. * Organizational skills to meet deadlines and manage personnel, facilitating effective interaction with other team members. * Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with clients.
