We are seeking an experienced cook to join a gastronomic establishment located on the coast of Almuñécar. The main responsibilities include preparing and presenting Mediterranean dishes, with special attention to rice dishes, fresh fish, and seafood, in accordance with the restaurant’s culinary concept. It is required to maintain the work area in perfect order and cleanliness, strictly complying with food hygiene and safety regulations, including the HACCP protocol. Additionally, the selected candidate will manage orders efficiently and promptly, ensuring careful presentation of each dish. They will also assist in receiving and storing raw materials, as well as in inventory control, to guarantee product freshness and minimize waste. This position involves working in a dynamic environment with variable service rhythms and requires a strong willingness to collaborate as part of both kitchen and front-of-house teams. A minimum of two years’ verifiable experience as a cook is required; specific experience in Mediterranean or seafood cuisine is considered an advantage. A valid food handler’s certificate is mandatory. We seek a proactive individual with strong adaptability and excellent teamwork skills. Practical proficiency in handling fresh fish, rice dishes, and hot and cold stations is required. Candidates must reside in nearby towns such as La Herradura, Almuñécar, or Nerja, or have their own vehicle for commuting.
