Job Summary: We are seeking a Geriatric Care Assistant for a residential center for elderly people to provide direct care, support in daily activities, and holistic well-being. Promotion of residents’ autonomy and well-being A Geriatric Care Assistant is required for an elderly residential center. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing direct care to residents, supporting them in basic daily living activities, and ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Additionally, they will collaborate with the center’s multidisciplinary team to guarantee comprehensive and personalized care, promote residents’ autonomy, and maintain a safe, dignified, and needs-appropriate environment. Assist residents with basic daily living activities: personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Assist with resident mobilization, transfers, and postural changes. Accompany residents within the facility and during scheduled activities. Support meal administration and monitor adequate hydration. Observe residents’ general condition and report any incidents or changes to the healthcare team. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in resident care and follow-up. Maintain order and cleanliness in the resident’s immediate environment and in the equipment used. Promote residents’ autonomy, well-being, and respect for their dignity. * Minimum 6 months’ experience. Prior experience in caring for elderly people in residential facilities, sociosanitary centers, or home care services will be valued. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to assist residents with basic daily living activities, as well as possess teamwork skills, a respectful and empathetic attitude, and the capacity to deliver high-quality, person-centered care focused on well-being and dignity.
