DESCRIPTION **WordPress Back-End Developer (Freelance)** Project-based collaboration Compensation: To be agreed upon based on scope of service Madrid – Barcelona – Remote Good Rebels 2026 We are seeking freelance web back-end developers to collaborate on agency projects for the major brands we work with. Responsibilities * Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of web projects. Project participation: Understand client needs to identify, research, and develop technical solutions for specific developments. * **Requirements** -------------- * Minimum 5 years of experience in WordPress development. * Development of custom themes from scratch, without using visual builders. * Creation of custom Gutenberg blocks (key requirement). Solid experience required in designing and coding bespoke blocks, including full integration with ACF and other WordPress functionalities. * Advanced experience with the ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) plugin. Solid experience working with: * Custom Post Types (CPTs). * Custom taxonomies. * Data modeling and structuring in WordPress. * WordPress Multisite. * Managing multilingual sites with WPML. * Development of custom plugins tailored to business needs. * Experience in content migration and synchronization across environments. * WordPress performance and security optimization.
