The Kitchen Assistant position involves providing comprehensive and operational support across all activities in the culinary production area. Core responsibilities include assisting in dish preparation, preparing and organizing required ingredients—commonly known as mise en place. A clean, orderly, and safe working environment must be maintained at all times, strictly adhering to current food hygiene and safety regulations. Active collaboration with the rest of the team is essential to ensure agile, efficient, and high-quality service during all shifts. Additionally, the role demands constant attention to detail to guarantee proper handling of raw materials and consistent availability and organization of products in storage and preparation areas. The job requires a proactive attitude and strong ability to maintain a steady pace in a dynamic—and sometimes high-pressure—environment. The assistant’s contribution is critical to the kitchen’s workflow, facilitating chefs’ tasks and ensuring seamless progression from preparation through plating. Prioritization and organizational skills will be especially valued to optimize available time and resources in the kitchen. Indefinite full-time contract with a weekly workload of 40 hours. Working hours are from 08:30 to 16:30, with a rotating break system that includes two days off per week. Thirty days of annual vacation are offered, along with remuneration in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement. At least two years of prior experience as a kitchen assistant or in similar roles within the hospitality sector is required. Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards is essential, as is proven ability to work effectively as part of a team under pressure.
