Based in Barcelona, Spain, FocusEconomics is a leading provider of economic intelligence reports, data solutions and a business intelligence platform for senior executives in multinational companies and governmental organizations. We are looking for an organized, hands\-on English Freelance Editor, who has a keen eye for detail, understands how to optimize content, and possesses a critical thinking mindset to transform macroeconomic articles into high\-quality content in a timely manner. **Key responsibilities** * Establish and uphold language quality standards for FocusEconomics’ written content, and keep FE writing guidelines updated. * Proofread and edit critical written content, distributed across our various platforms, in a timely manner according to FE deadlines. * Ensure critical written content is consistent with our style guide, and our broader aims and objectives (i.e. free from political bias, concise \& precise, etc). * Liaise with, take direction from and support FocusEconomics’ chief editor in their role. **Requirements** * Native English speaker * A bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, and/or English * Interested in performing editorial duties (proofreading, copyediting, and providing constructive feedback to in\-house and external writers).
