We are currently seeking a Business Controller and Certification Administration Specialist to join our **Administration and Finance Department in Madrid**. Are you interested? The role has a dual purpose: * For 50% of your time, you will manage, administer, and bill work under the I-DE (Iberdrola) contract across the various provinces included in its scope, ensuring proper certification control and resolution of administrative issues. * For the remaining 50% of your time, you will support the finance team as a Business Controller, participating in economic analysis of business activities, margin control, reporting preparation, and decision-making support within a growing engineering company. **What will your responsibilities be?** A. I-DE Contract Administration (approx. 50% of time): * Manage, administer, and bill all work carried out across the various provinces covered by the I-DE contract. * Perform billing via the client’s platform, following procedures required by Iberdrola. * Monitor and update certifications on the client’s platform, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. * Verify consistency among executed work, issued certifications, and associated billing. * Track the status of certifications (approvals, rejections, pending items) and coordinate necessary actions with internal teams. * Manage and resolve incidents related to data, amounts, concepts, discrepancies, or blocks on the client’s platform. * Maintain smooth communication with the Contract Manager and technical team to obtain necessary information (work reports, closures, milestones, etc.). B. Business Controller Responsibilities (approx. 50% of time): * Support economic control of contracts and projects, particularly those related to Engineering, EPC, and Architecture. * Prepare and update monitoring reports (monthly, quarterly) on billing, certifications, margins, variances, and forecasts. * Analyze variances between budgeted and actual performance (revenues, costs, hours, subcontracting) and propose improvement or corrective actions. * Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the business unit together with the Finance Director. * Participate in defining and monitoring economic-financial KPIs (profitability per contract, per client, per unit, etc.). * Contribute to improving internal management control processes, helping implement standardized procedures across all contracts. * Prepare documentation and reports for senior management (Finance and General Management), providing clear, concise, and decision-oriented information. **What do we offer?** * An opportunity to learn and grow in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. * Collaboration with experienced professionals. * Competitive salary commensurate with experience. * Flexible working hours to carry out your tasks. * A positive working atmosphere. * Welcome package. * Team-building activities. REQUIREMENTS **What do we expect from you?** Education: * Degree in Administration and Finance, Economics, Business Administration (ADE), or similar. * Additional training in management control, cost accounting, or corporate finance is desirable. Experience: * Prior experience in administrative tasks related to billing, certifications, or contract administration. * Experience in engineering, energy, utilities, construction, or technical services companies is desirable. * Experience with client platforms (ideally Iberdrola / I-DE) is desirable. * Prior experience in management control or economic analysis is valued. Technical knowledge: * Advanced proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office suite): * Excel: PivotTables, filters, basic analytical formulas (SUM, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, etc.). * Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. * Knowledge of SAP is desirable; familiarity with other ERP systems or management, accounting, and/or project software is also valued. * Ability to interpret economic-financial information (revenues, costs, margins, variances).
