Position Summary: An expert professional in creating and editing educational materials for Grades 1 and 2 of Primary Education, with a focus on literacy instruction and editorial quality. Participation in all phases of publication development \\\\What we are looking for:\ A highly skilled professional expert in creating and editing educational materials for Grades 1 and 2 of Primary Education, with particular emphasis on literacy instruction in these grades.\\\Position Objective:\ To collaborate with the rest of the First Cycle of Primary Education team in developing and editing the content of First Cycle of Primary Education publishing materials, especially for Spanish Language, Mathematics, and Knowledge of the Environment subjects.\\The role will be responsible for ensuring that edited materials meet high-quality standards and satisfy market expectations, while adhering to scheduled timelines.\\\Reporting Line\: This position reports to the Content Lead for the First Cycle of Primary Education within the Primary Education Department, under the company’s Content Directorate.\\\\\\Main Responsibilities:\\\\\1\. Develop, edit, and adapt content for assigned publication projects, participating in all stages of their development—from original manuscripts through workshop mock-ups—to achieve maximum quality and optimal fit within the target market.\\2\. Ensure compliance with the editorial and stylistic criteria for each assigned publication to align with required pedagogical/strategic and market objectives. \\3\. Collaborate in defining model units and/or demonstration versions of publications. \\4\. Edit and prepare audio scripts for publications for recording, followed by subsequent review and validation. \\5\. Draft and prepare storyboards for developing audiovisual materials associated with publications. \\6\. Participate in the creation and editing of digital content and collaborate in reviewing digital products for the First Cycle of Primary Education. \\7\. Respect the development deadlines for assigned publication projects as indicated by the Content Lead, ensuring timely delivery to guarantee appropriate publication timing for all projects. \\8\. Coordinate effectively with other editors for the First Cycle of Primary Education, with internal Technical Directorate departments, and with external resources assigned to the publications and projects in which the role participates, ensuring proper progress of such projects in a timely and appropriate manner. \\9\. Outsource and monitor work assigned to external resources, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality of creation and adaptation, and compliance with the required editorial style guide.\\10\. Participate in market research initiatives alongside the Content Lead to ensure optimal product alignment with the target market and enhance the company’s market position.\\11\. Stay informed about current market trends regarding literacy learning in Primary Education, pedagogical models, and methodological proposals for the First Cycle of Primary Education.\\12\. Maintain an enjoyable, collaborative, communicative, respectful, motivating, and goal-oriented working environment where all team members feel safe and engaged.\\\\\\Requirements\\\\\\Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Educational Sciences/Teacher Training or Pedagogy.\\\\Master’s degree in Editing.\\\\Over 10 years’ experience editing First Cycle of Primary Education teaching materials at companies in the sector.\\\\Expert-level knowledge of literacy learning strategies for the early grades of Primary Education.\\\\Up-to-date knowledge of trends in the educational market concerning teaching innovation, pedagogical models, and methodological proposals for the First Cycle of Primary Education.\\\\Teaching experience in the First Cycle of Primary Education is considered an advantage.\\\\Experience and knowledge of Early Childhood Education teaching materials is considered an advantage.\\\\English proficiency at B2 level or higher is considered an advantage.\\\\\\\\\About Sanoma Learning\\\\How do you prepare students for the world, engage their curiosity and inspire them to grow?
