Description
Accenture, recognized as a Great Place To Work®, is a global leader in professional services that helps major enterprises, public administrations, and other organizations worldwide develop their digital core, optimize operations, accelerate revenue growth, and improve citizen services—delivering tangible value at speed and scale.
We are seeking a Data Architecture Manager with experience in designing, implementing, and evolving large-scale enterprise data platforms on Microsoft Azure.
The selected candidate will serve as the architectural and delivery authority for business and technology stakeholders, leading complex transformation initiatives across multiple countries, teams, and delivery centers. This role combines data architecture, technical leadership, stakeholder management, delivery planning, and international program coordination.
This position is based in Seville under a hybrid work model—working some days remotely from home and others onsite at the office, where you can build meaningful synergies with your team.
Residency in Spain and valid Spanish work authorization are mandatory.
Responsibilities*
* Design enterprise data architectures on Microsoft Azure covering ingestion, transformation, storage, processing, analytics, visualization, security, data quality, and governance—using Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Delta Lake, Power BI, SQL, and PySpark.
* Lead the definition and execution of data transformation programs with multiple concurrent workstreams and releases, coordinating dependencies, estimates, risks, quality controls, and delivery schedules across distributed teams in different countries and time zones.
* Govern architectural decisions and technical standards for the platform—including Lakehouse and Data Warehouse patterns, data modeling, continuous integration, continuous deployment, Azure DevOps, FinOps, security, traceability, governance, and data quality.
* Serve as the primary client interface for architecture and delivery decisions—translating business needs into technical solutions, presenting alternatives to executive stakeholders, and defining the platform’s evolution roadmap.
Key Duties*
* Define target data platform architectures and evolution roadmaps based on Microsoft Azure—establishing principles, patterns, technological components, integration mechanisms, and adoption criteria.
* Design ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake—ensuring seamless integration with Azure Synapse Analytics, ADLS Gen2, and Power BI.
* Establish technical governance models for architecture, metadata management, data quality, security, access control, traceability, observability, FinOps, and regulatory compliance.
* Lead international, multidisciplinary teams composed of architects, data engineers, analysts, and client stakeholders—coordinating activities across markets, delivery centers, and time zones.
* Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and releases—including planning, estimation, prioritization, dependency tracking, risk control, and deliverable validation.
* Implement CI/CD practices via Azure DevOps to automate validation, versioning, integration, deployment, and monitoring of data components.
* Ensure alignment between functional, regulatory, and operational requirements and their implementation in the architecture and data products.
* Prepare and present architecture decisions, progress updates, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to technical stakeholders, business leaders, and executive committees.
* Define reusable standards and mentor data architects and engineers on architectural patterns, engineering best practices, and quality criteria.
* Evaluate the integration of Data Products, Data Mesh, generative AI, and RAG systems into the platform’s evolution.
