**Espitlles Residence**, located in **Santa Margarida i els Monjos (Barcelona)**, is seeking a **Geriatric Care Assistant / Gerocultor/a** to **cover a temporary incapacity leave (IT)**. **Main Responsibilities** The selected candidate will join the direct care team for residents and perform, among others, the following duties: * Support and assistance with **Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)**. * Assistance with personal hygiene, showers, and daily grooming. * Support with dressing and personal appearance care. * Patient mobilization, postural changes, and transfers. * Assisting residents in getting up and going to bed. * Accompanying residents during meals and supporting feeding when necessary. * Observing residents’ general condition and reporting incidents to the team. * Emotional support and companionship. * Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, person-centered care. * Maintaining the resident’s immediate environment and assisting with tasks inherent to the role. **Working Hours and Schedule** A **full-time position** is offered to cover the leave, with the following rotating shift pattern: * **Long week:** Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, from **7:30 AM to 8:00 PM**. * **Short week:** Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from **7:30 AM to 8:00 PM**. With **rest periods established according to the applicable collective agreement and current labor regulations**. **Requirements** * Qualification as a **Nursing Auxiliary Technician**, **Professional Certificate in Socio-Healthcare for Dependent Persons in Social Institutions**, or equivalent qualification authorizing performance of this role. * Prior experience in elderly care will be valued. * Ability to work in a team, empathy, and a person-centered care orientation. **Mandatory** * **Valid Type B driving license and personal vehicle.** The residence is located **on the outskirts of Santa Margarida i els Monjos**, approximately **20 minutes on foot from the train station**, so having a personal vehicle is recommended to facilitate access to the facility. Salary: Up to 1\.200,00€ per month Work Location: On-site employment
