We are seeking kitchen assistants to join our team at Villablanca Serveis Assistencials. The ideal candidate must have prior kitchen experience, preferably in healthcare institutions, and be committed to preparing safe and nutritious meals for our residents. This position is essential to ensure that quality and food safety standards are met at all stages of meal preparation and service.
Main Responsibilities: Ingredient Preparation; Washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients as instructed; Measuring and preparing specific ingredients according to recipes and hospital menus. Kitchen Support: Assisting in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of head chefs. Following provided instructions and recipes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes. Dish Assembly and Presentation: Collaborating in assembling meals and trays for patients, ensuring individual dietary requirements are met. Ensuring proper presentation and quality of served food. Cleaning and Maintenance: Maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas, including surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment. Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils. Inventory Management: Assisting in receiving and storing kitchen supplies. Monitoring and reporting inventory needs to prevent ingredient shortages. Regulatory Compliance: Strictly adhering to the hospital’s hygiene and food safety regulations. Using personal protective equipment and maintaining cleaning standards to prevent contamination. Coordination and Communication: Collaborating with the kitchen team and other hospital departments to ensure efficient service. Reporting any issues or incidents to the kitchen supervisor. Requirements: Prior kitchen experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare services environment. Knowledge of hygiene and food safety regulations. Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Food Handling Certification (desirable).
