We seek someone with strategic vision, solid technical capability, and proven experience designing large-scale data architectures—ensuring quality, security, and scalability across all processes. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Design, development, and deployment of a new cloud-based data platform. * Definition of architectures leveraging Azure, Databricks, Delta Lake, and medallion architecture. * Technical leadership and guidance to the team in implementing best practices, security, and data governance. * Optimization of pipelines, models, jobs, and costs. * Close collaboration with stakeholders, technical teams, and business units. * Documentation of architecture, data governance, and key processes. **What we’re looking for** * More than **6 years of experience** in data-related roles, including at least **3 years in architecture or technical leadership**. * Minimum **2 years of hands-on experience in Databricks environments**. * Demonstrable experience leading the design and implementation of large-scale cloud-based data platforms (ideally on Azure). * Experience with **Azure Storage, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI**. * Expert-level proficiency in **Databricks**, Spark, Unity Catalog, and Delta Lake. * In-depth knowledge of **medallion architecture**, data modeling, and *change data capture*. * Experience in security, networking, best practices, GDPR, and their application in data environments. * Nice-to-have: Python/PySpark, Scala, advanced SQL, experience with other clouds (GCP/AWS), IaC (Bicep or ARM), Azure Fabric. * Strong English proficiency, attention to detail, quality mindset, and strong ownership. **What to expect when joining our team?** * Work in a stable, project-diverse environment that supports your professional growth. * Permanent contract. * Competitive salary. * Flexible working hours. * Hybrid work model with **4 remote days and 1 office day per week in our Barcelona offices**. * And… enthusiasm for continuous learning! **If this sounds good to you, apply now—and let’s meet!
