Experience in forest harvesting and sector logistics. We are seeking a professional to manage wood procurement in Villasbuenas de Gata (Cáceres). The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring continuous wood supply, guaranteeing the required quantity and quality for the plant. Additionally, they must supervise and coordinate safety regulations applicable to wood handling operations, as well as actively work to minimize environmental risks. Proven experience in forest harvesting, knowledge of wood grades, and sector logistics are required. Proficiency in computer tools such as Excel and ERP systems for cost control, volume tracking, and supplier management is essential. Knowledge of forest certifications such as PEFC and FSC is considered an advantage. The ideal academic background is a degree in Forestry Engineering or Forest Sciences, or an equivalent technical qualification. Other engineering degrees or higher vocational training cycles will also be considered if accompanied by solid experience in forest or wood procurement. Advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese, as well as a valid EU driving license (Category B), are mandatory. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in wood procurement, forest services, or purchasing within the forestry, wood, or biomass sectors is highly desirable, along with familiarity with the Sierra de Gata and Las Hurdes regions and local forestry agents. A permanent full-time contract is offered, with salary according to the applicable collective agreement.
