Symrise – always inspiring more... **Your Role** The Mechanical Project Engineer position ensures the proper planning, design, execution, and delivery of equipment within assigned projects, aligning technical solutions with project requirements, safety standards, and organizational objectives. Initially, this position will not have direct reports; instead, it will contribute expertise and oversee external personnel. The role is responsible for tracking projects across commercial, logistical, preparatory, and completion phases. Key Responsibilities: * Manage external personnel on-site, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and procedures. * Oversee procurement of equipment and materials, validating technical specifications and purchasing decisions. * Coordinate general mechanical installation activities with various plant departments. * Participate in the project portfolio, supporting simultaneous execution of multiple initiatives and budget preparation. * Enhance operational performance through actions improving reliability, energy efficiency, and long-term cost reduction. * Perform thermodynamic and mechanical calculations for production equipment. * Coordinate engineering and/or maintenance activities across different site areas. * Lead projects across various plant areas, including Fragrance, Aroma Molecules production, and other facilities. * Manage installation of mechanical equipment and piping on production lines. * Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, civil/mechanical engineers, procurement, HSE, and operations to ensure proper project execution. * Supervise and evaluate suppliers and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and technical requirements. * Drive continuous improvement strategies aimed at optimizing processes and operational efficiency.
