The candidate will join the Research Group on Sustainability Accounting and Optimization at BETA Technological Center as scientific-technical staff. The selected person will carry out tasks related to sustainability assessment in European and industry-transfer projects, where technologies and production processes in bioprocesses and the agri-food sector are evaluated. They will also contribute to building databases to improve sustainability quantification in the agri-food sector. **Functions and duties:** * Provide technical support for tasks related to sustainability assessment and optimization in competitive projects: environmental sustainability. * Adapt national-level datasets for integration into life cycle assessment (LCA) databases in the agri-food sector. * Develop data on food production and losses for large-scale data analysis. **Requirements** info**Decree on recognition of qualifications of teaching and research staff and professional services staff**keyboard\_arrow\_down**Title** Vocational training program (medium-level cycle) in fields related to the scope of this call. **Certification of Level C1 in Catalan or commitment to obtain it.** **Accreditation of Level B2 English or commitment to obtain it.*** **Basic knowledge of life cycle assessment (LCA) software, especially OpenLCA (also Gabi, SimaPro, or Brightway).** * **Prior experience executing projects with the private sector.** * **Previous participation in European projects.** * **Programming skills in languages such as R or Python.** **Other requirements** **Merits** * Bachelor’s or Licentiate degree in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields. * Relevant research in Sustainable Food Systems. * Research experience. * Technical skills in data analysis, modeling, life cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle costing (LCC), and social life cycle assessment (S-LCA). **Competencies** **ATTITUDE:** Planning and organization **TEAM MANAGEMENT:** Teamwork and cooperation **PERSONAL SKILLS:** Flexibility and change management **INFLUENCING:** Communication Empathy **THOUGHT:** Learning and application of knowledge **This job offer includes** Inclusion in the professional group Management and administrative and service staff (PTGAS) Type of contract: temporary Total work: full\-time Gross salary: 25\.317,80 € \- Possibility of combining on-site work with teleworking. \- Flexible working hours.
